Projects

Our projects fall into a few key areas: major infrastructure like new transit centers and facilities, technology improvements that enhance your rider experience, fleet upgrades , and new services that expand where and when you can catch a ride. Some projects take months, others take years, but they all share the same goal: creating a transit system that truly serves our community’s needs.

Projects in the Works

A New Transit Hub for Downtown Clearwater

This multimodal transportation center will be constructed in the heart of downtown Clearwater and adjacent to Pinellas Trail, the new City Hall, and other city administration buildings.

We’re partnering with the City of Clearwater, Pinellas County, and FDOT to replace our outdated, overcapacity transit center with a state-of-the-art facility that’s twice the size and built to serve the community for decades to come. This $20 million project funded by Pinellas County’s first-ever federal FDOT RAISE grant will accommodate over 2,300 daily riders, feature electric bus infrastructure, solar panels, covered bike racks, real-time information displays, and even a coffee shop facing the Pinellas Trail.

More than just a place to catch the bus, the new Clearwater Station will be a true multimodal hub connecting PSTA buses with rideshare services, bikes, and scooters. It’s designed to support downtown businesses, create access to thousands of jobs, and serve as a gateway to everything Clearwater and Pinellas County has to offer.
