PSTA OFFERING FREE RIDES TO TWO SHELTERS FOR TROPICAL STORM ELSA
St. Petersburg, Fla - The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) is offering free rides to two shelters starting at 9 a.m. today, ahead of Tropical Storm Elsa.
The two shelters are:
- The Lealman Exchange shelter (5175 45th St. N. in St. Petersburg) – Served free by route 75
- Ross Norton Recreation Center shelter (1426 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. in Clearwater) – Served free by route 61
PSTA Access (Dart) and MOD services will close today at 5 p.m. Prescheduled Access/Dart trips after 5 p.m. will automatically be cancelled. Riders may call us to reschedule or cancel their first trip if their second trip is after 5 p.m. The number to call is 727-540-1888.
Bus service is scheduled to remain open, but PSTA will halt service if the storm has sustained Tropical Storm Force Winds of 40 miles per hour.
PSTA will update the local media about the status of service, so tune into your local newspaper, TV, radio outlets and online for the most up-to-date information. PSTA will resume service as soon as possible after the storm passes.
