It’s Back: ‘Halloween on Central’ Returns

It’s Back: ‘Halloween on Central’ Returns

Halloween on Central, presented by the SunRunner, is happening this October 30th

For Immediate Release:

August 22nd, 2022

St. Petersburg, FLA - St. Petersburg’s largest open-air event, Halloween on Central, presented by the SunRunner, in partnership with the Grand Central District, EDGE District, St. Pete Pride, the City of St. Pete, and the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) is returning this spooky season. (Click here for photos/video).

On Sunday, October 30th from 12p.m. to 5 p.m., attendees can stroll and roll along nearly two miles of the city, from Dr. MLK Jr. (9th) Street to 31st Street, and experience the heart of the Sunshine City from a unique perspective that will allow them to rediscover their favorite local businesses and interact with the community in fun, healthy ways – without worrying about car traffic.

“After a very successful event last year, with nearly 75,000 people attending, we are excited to further enhance accessibility to this year’s event with the opening of the SunRunner,” said David Foote, Executive Director of the Grand Central District Association. “We hope visitors and residents from all over the county are able to experience St. Pete’s biggest Halloween celebration.”

The SunRunner is planned to begin service on October 21st and will be free for all riders the first 6 months of service. It will have 3 stops within the Halloween event: 31st street, 22nd street and 13th street along First avenue north & south. Click here for more information about the SunRunner.
