PSTA Elects New Officers for Board of Directors
St. Petersburg, FL—The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) Board of Directors announced its newly elected officers for 2025 today. This marks a historic moment for PSTA, as Dan Saracki, Mayor of Oldsmar, becomes the first-ever Board Chair from North County. Saracki, who has been a dedicated member of the Board since May 2019, has played a crucial role in several significant PSTA achievements, including the successful launch of the region’s first Bus-Rapid-Transit line, the SunRunner, helping secure numerous state and federal grants for regional projects such as the Clearwater Ferry service, and earning the transit agency’s prestigious title of American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Transit System of the Year in 2023. Chair Saracki previously served as Chairs of PSTA’s Finance Committee and currently chairs the Board’s Legislative Committee.

St. Petersburg Councilwoman Deborah Figgs-Sanders has been elected Vice-Chair. A member of PSTA's Planning, Executive, Legislative and Nominating Committees since 2021, Figgs-Sanders has been instrumental in shaping key initiatives and advocating for continued growth and improvement for public transportation in the county.
In addition, South Pasadena Commissioner Tom Reid has been appointed Secretary/Treasurer. Reid, who has served on the PSTA Finance, Planning and Executive Committees since 2024, brings extensive financial expertise to the role.
