PSTA Hosts E-Revolution Drive to Recycle Technology and Empower the Community

St. Petersburg, FL—The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) Leadership Class of 2025, in partnership with E-Smart Recycling and The Digital Education Foundation, is inviting the community to join the E-Revolution Drive, a special event to recycle old technology and help provide refurbished devices to those in need.

Event Details:

📅 When: Friday, September 12, 2025 | 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

📍 Where: PSTA Administration Building (West Parking Lot)

3201 Scherer Drive, St. Petersburg, FL 33714

vehicle entry and exit will be from the 34th Street North entrance.

The E-Revolution Drive encourages residents to bring in unused or unwanted technology such as laptops, cell phones, tablets, and chargers. Donated devices will be securely refurbished and redistributed to individuals and families in the community who lack access to technology.

This initiative directly supports PSTA’s Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) and Access riders who do not currently own a cell phone or other device needed to complete applications or access Mobility on Demand (MOD) services. Providing refurbished devices will ensure more people have the tools to schedule rides, apply for programs, and stay connected.

“By recycling old devices, we’re not only keeping harmful e-waste out of landfills, but also giving technology a second life in the hands of community members who need it most,” said Elizabeth Fazio, member of the PSTA Leadership Class of 2025. “This effort is about helping our riders access the services they depend on.”
