PSTA invites you to experience Real Time Bus Information. The system works with GPS technology and allows PSTA to pinpoint each vehicles exact location at all times. This means we can provide reliable, real-time departure information to passengers.
PRICING
Paying your fare on SunRunner can be done with one of the following methods. In order take advantage of the best possible fare and daily/monthly maximums, be sure to use the same payment method every time you board.
Tap Enabled Credit/Debit Cards, Digital Wallet

$5 max. per day
Tap your payment method on the validator. The technology keeps track automatically: as long as you tap only one payment method every time you board, you can ride as many times as you want and only pay $5 per day.
Flamingo Fares App/Card
$2.25 per ride
$5 max. per day

Flamingo App: Open the app on your smart phone and scan the QR code below the validator.
Flamingo Card: tap your Flamingo Fares card on the validator.
Your account can be easily reloaded!
- Reload from your connected bank account, credit card, or debit card within the app or on FlamingoFares.com
- Visit any PSTA Customer Service Center to reload with cash, credit card, or debit card.
EXCLUSIVE DEAL FOR FLAMINGO FARES CUSTOMERS: Get a Flamingo Fares Group pass! Pay $10 for up to five riders to ride for a full day. Exclusively available in the Flamingo Fares App.

Reduced fares are available for specific groups per PSTA's fare policy. At this time, reduced fares are ONLY available by using a registered Flamingo Fares account.
- Seniors 65+
- The riders with disabilities
- Youth aged 9-18
- Adult students with student ID
If you qualify for a reduced fare, visit a PSTA Customer Service Center with valid ID proof of eligibility to register for your discount. Discounts cannot be given by drivers on the SunRunner, and cannot be applied to other payment methods.
THE SUNRUNNER IS A CASHLESS SYSTEM
Unlike other PSTA routes, there are no cash boxes or units on board to accept GO Cards. Fares can only be paid using these methods. This helps keep boarding as fast as possible, and is a key part of what makes the SunRunner a rapid transit option!
Fare validators are available at both doors, so you can continue to board through either door and tap/scan your payment method as you enter.
To pay your fare with cash, please visit a PSTA Customer Service Center to get a Flamingo Fares card.

Ride Free with U-PASS!
Certain PSTA partners ride for free with valid ID. If you are a student, employee, or guest of one of the below organizations, present your valid ID to ride free on any PSTA route, including the SunRunner!

Schools, Universities, and Youth Organizations
Students, Faculty, Staff, and Volunteers at any Pinellas County Schools campus ride free.
Students should present valid student ID or proof of enrollment.
Faculty and staff should present employee ID. Volunteers should visit the school office for appropriate ID.
Students, Faculty, and Staff of USF St. Petersburg ride free with valid ID.
Pinellas Technical College Students, Faculty, and Staff ride free with valid ID.
St. Petersburg College (SPC) Students, Faculty, and Staff ride free with valid ID.
Pinellas MYcroSchool Charter High school students ride free with student ID.

Buy a Flamingo Fares Card
If you prefer to use a physical card, you can purchase one from any PSTA Customer Service Center! Cards are reusable and reloadable and cost $3 at any PSTA Customer Service Center. Once you purchase your card, be sure to visit FlamingoFares.com to register, protect your balance, and easily reload your card! Keep in mind—to take advantage of daily and monthly caps, you must use only ONE payment method (either the card or the app).
