Introducing the Real Time Bus Information.
PSTA invites you to experience Real Time Bus Information. The system works with GPS technology and allows PSTA to pinpoint each vehicles exact location at all times. This means we can provide reliable, real-time departure information to passengers.
PSTA has joined the charge! On June 9th, 2020 PSTA officially opened the first Inductive Wireless Electric Bus Charging Station on the US East Coast. This new wireless charging station includes a primary charging plate aimed at reducing the wait time for our electric buses to be fully charged! With our fleet of two electric buses, with four more expected, we used to charge by using a plug-in charger. This process would take nearly four hours to fully recharge! With this new technology we can cut the wait-time by more than half and keep our electric buses on the streets serving you!
The process works by the electric bus stopping over the charging plate, then like magic the bus gets charged wirelessly. Our electric buses average 180 miles or about 15 hours before having to recharge. This will allow our buses to continuously serve our riders without much stoppage time.
