On April 16, PSTA joined hundreds of transit systems across the United States in a coordinated day of action to simultaneously sound the horns on fleets of buses, boats and trains to honor the heroic efforts of transit workers. As a tribute to these #HeroesMovingHeroes on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic, PSTA drivers at Park Street Terminal in Clearwater, FL gave two one-second horn blasts at 3:00 p.m. EST in solidarity with fellow transportation agencies. When needed most, heroic transportation workers keep essential workers moving.
Essential workers such as healthcare workers, first responders, grocery store employees, childcare employees, transit workers, and so many others are keeping the world up and running during this health crisis. This #SoundTheHorn effort was led by Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), along with Amtrak, NJ TRANSIT and other regional bus and ferry operations. PSTA is proud and grateful for all our heroic men and women transit employees serving those who are serving us. With their brave efforts, we’ll continue #movingthefrontline.
