WHERE'S MY BUS?

Introducing the Real Time Bus Information.

PSTA invites you to experience Real Time Bus Information. The system works with GPS technology and allows PSTA to pinpoint each vehicles exact location at all times. This means we can provide reliable, real-time departure information to passengers.

PSTA is taking steps to ensure that social distancing is adhered to across the system, including asking the public to use good judgment. The agency has implemented several steps to encourage social distancing to keep employees and passengers safe. Now PSTA is working to minimize the number of riders on its buses and at the terminals by:

  • Limiting capacity to approximately 10 passengers per bus
  • Having buses bypass stops if social distancing limits are reached
  • Adding additional buses on the most popular routes and stage buses in those areas as available
  • Implementing no loitering at terminals
  • Staying 6 feet apart

“Our intent is to provide sufficient service while asking passengers to exercise social distancing on our vehicles,” said Brad Miller, Chief Executive Officer of PSTA. “It is imperative that our passengers use sound judgment when boarding and selecting a seat on our buses to ensure they can maintain social distancing.”

Over the past month, PSTA has taken proactive measures to protect its employees by providing personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, sanitizing wipes, and hand sanitizers as they become available. PPE continues to be a challenge to obtain but the agency continues to find creative means of acquiring supplies.

Rear-door boarding and exiting along with suspension of fare collection was instituted to create another layer of social distance between operators and riders and eliminate the need for contact with the farebox. Plastic chains have been installed to rope off the area behind the operators to ensure social distancing and protect our operators and customers from crowding.

While all these measures have been put in place to improve safety, everyone must do their part to ensure safety for employees and passengers. Passengers should only take essential trips, wear masks while riding transit, practice proper hand-washing hygiene and coughing and sneezing etiquette, and don’t board a vehicle if it appears to be full.
