Introducing the Real Time Bus Information.
PSTA invites you to experience Real Time Bus Information. The system works with GPS technology and allows PSTA to pinpoint each vehicles exact location at all times. This means we can provide reliable, real-time departure information to passengers.
Changes to PSTA Bus Fares:
There are no changes to daily fare maximums, single ride fares, or cash fares at this time.
- Tap-enabled credit and debit cards are now eligible for the same monthly fare maximums as Flamingo Fares. By using the same credit or debit card every time you board, you will never pay more than the maximum fare in one calendar month.
- If you are eligible for reduced fares, you can now register your tap-enabled credit or debit card registered with your discount! Visit a Customer Service Center to register for your discount. Learn more about reduced fares.
- The monthly maximum on fare will increase from $70 to $85 in one calendar month. Monthly maximum fares are only available through Flamingo Fares (card or app) and tap-enabled credit/debit cards.
- The monthly maximum for registered reduced-fare customers will increase from $35 to $42.50 in one calendar month. You must register your tap-enabled card or Flamingo Fares account to receive your discount.
As always, use the same card or account every time you board to get the best possible value! Daily and monthly maximums are tracked by card number, not by name, and cannot be transferred across cards or Flamingo Fares accounts.
Changes to the PSTA Mobility On Demand (MOD) Program:
On October 1, 2024, the following changes will go into effect for the Mobility On Demand (MOD) service. Mobility On Demand is available to registered PSTA Access Paratransit riders.
- The base cost will increase to $4.50 per ride. PSTA Access and Mobility-On-Demand will have the same base fare of $4.50 per ride.
- After 30 MOD rides each calendar month, each additional ride will have a charge of $1 per mile plus the $4.50 base fare.
For example: if your 31st ride in the calendar month is 8 miles, the cost will be $4.50 base fare + $8 mileage = $12.50 - For the first 30 MOD rides in each calendar month, any ride that is over 20 miles will have an additional charge of $1 for each mile over 20 miles.
For example: if you take a ride that is 25 miles within your first 30 rides in a calendar month, the cost will be $4.50 base fare + $5 extra mileage = $9.50. If you take a 25 mile ride after your first 30 rides in a calendar month, the cost will be $4.50 base fare + $25 mileage = $29.50.
There are NO changes to PSTA Access; these changes only apply to MOD.
